How Has Music Technology Changed Since the 1900s?

I really need help with this. I need info and possibly a timeline of music technology inventions and advancements.

1. i dont know all the info exactly, but i would start with something about how music used to be played on just things like piano, trumper, etc. then the music began to be written on sheet music and distrubuted. Phonographs (Edison i think) began to play actual music. Then it led to records, 8-tracks, cassetes, radios, CD's, and finally the mp3 formatting we have now.
