Is my current method for invention ideas good or should I find more creative ways?
In my spare time I like making and inventing (or at least I try hehe) things. It would be very useful if I could come up with more ideas. Here is how I usually do it: I simply think of the problem and try a sort of mental and visual trial and error. For example, if I need to design a part to make something work, I shape it in my mind until I get the right one(this is an oversimplified example). One advantage is that it always works, but how can I improve this method or is it good enough already?

- good for small things.....bad for going into details...where u have to have a hypothesis and then theory and then some sort of application.... i know ur method has all of these but in a crude way....wait till u grow up....but continue what u r doing
- yup... pretty good. You may read the book 'the power of ur subconscious mind' joseph murphey... Your may find many answers relating to your question... good luck! p.s If you need an ecopy just drop me a msg - i'll direct you
- You are just being attentive to your creativity. The next step would be to build a prototype or plan to implement the idea whatever is appropriate. There will be lot of trial and error in bringing something to fruition. You'll need to test your resolve or channel the creativity in a direction that is more enjoyable.
- Good or bad, have to try it out to test. Like apply a patent and try to sell it. I worked with a few inventors, they look at a consumer products, find out ways of improvement, and apply for government funding to file patent, and they are either selling their own products now and trying to sell their patent right.
