List Of Famous Inventors Knowledge Base
Can anyone name any famous Islamic scientist or inventors? Is there any? Even one? Name one? NOTE TO NON-MUSLIMS: If any Muslims respond, take note to whether they name anyone that can be verified. See if they are specific. Remember, almost every single Muslim alive will tell you that Islam was once the apex of civilization. In fact, the majority of Muslims believe that "all science comes from the Quran". Actually, Im not kidding. No...for real, Im not kidding..look into it. So, if this is all true, should we be able to list countless famous Islamic scientists and innovators? The only one I know of, after researching the subject, is Al Kharazimi. The only thing it appears can be attributed to him is the 'logarythm". Common lies found in their propaganda: "Muslims invented math!" -- 100% false. Hindus invented the "zero" and what we now call "arabic numerals". Except for the logarythm, nothing comes from Muslims. Research it. "Islamic architecture is the best!" -- This is subjective, but I agree, that the Christian Bystantine style which muslims plagerize is nice. POKI: LOL!!!!! Me or You could get more space on Wikipedia...he doesnt even merit half a paragraph! According to this little write-up, he didnt even invent anything per se, just improved the mechanics of a technique! But, I was obviously asking for a major name in history. Amazing itsnt it Poki?

Any famous Armenians?? I need list of famous Armenians. Could be actor, writer, politician, businessman, criminal, inventor.... any thing as long as they are known. I have some but I need more. lol Mercury. lmao.
Famous Non-Americans? I am giving my 7th and 8th grade language arts students a project on non-americans who have influenced our lives. I have comprised a list but I am drawing a blank and I would appreciate a little help. I would need more names for the "Political Leaders" section, the "Inventors/Scientists" section and also for the "Spiritual Leaders" section as well. I'm ok with the "Authors," and "Painters/Artists." Thanks!!
American Inventions (Or Not)? American Inventions I asked the question “What has America Ever Invented?” and the answers I got back were interesting but mostly after a little studying I found wrong. Some inventions that were mentioned as American are listed below and their true inventors listed: - 1)Telephone - The Inventor is still in dispute between Antonio Meucci (Italian living in Havanna), Johann Philipp Reis (German), Alexander Graham Bell (Scottish) and Elisha Gray (Illinois). 2)Light Bulb – Joseph W.Swan (British). 3)Transistor – John Robinson Pierce (Yes, American). 4)Cotton Gin – Eli Whitney (American again), more famous for his invention of manufacturing muskets by machine. 5)Space Travel – Developed in America by many nationalities, the first moon buggy was actually invented by a Filipino and he based it on the Philippines Jeepney. 6)Atom Bomb – James Franck & Gustav Hertz (Germans) 7)Mashed Potatoes – Actually American English and a piped version (Pommes Duchesse) is French. 8)French Fries – French way of cooking the English Chips 9)Mass Production – The idea came from Venice several hundred years before Henry Ford. 10)Silly Putty – Scientific Accident made by James Wright (American) 11)Hamburgers – Dated back to the 12th century. Definatly not an American Invention. 12)Seat Belts – George Cayley (English). 13)Integrated Circuit or Microchip – Geoffrey W, A Dummer (English concept). 14)Disc Drive – David Paul Gregg (American) 15)Henry Ford Model “T” – See Mass Production 16)Steamboat – Jonathan Hulls (English) 17)Peanut Butter (Pre-Columbian Mayan & Aztec of Mexico). 18)Post-It Notes – Accidental Discovery by Spencer Silver & Art Fry (Americans). 19)Liquid Paper – Bette Nesmith Graham (Texas), Mother of Michael Nesmith of the Monkees pop group. 20)Coca Cola – Undisputedly American. Did you even realise that most of these were not American inventions at all ??????????..
Historical Events? I need at least 20 historical events over 1870-1940. each of the seven decades must be covered at least once. They can be on sports/entertainment famous immigrants or minorities in U.S U.S. wars Political events or government issues Important inventions/inventors interesting fashion trends and/ or social issues please list as many as you can along with the year it happened
Ideas on who I can make a biography of? Guidelines are: Research and Explore the life of a historical figure from the past 200 years of world history Historically Significant and made a lasting impact on our world. American Inventors, figures, etc aren't allowed because it's world history, not US history. So, can you please list names on these kinds of people? I know that my friends already picked Leonardo Da Vinci, and those other famous painters, so try to list a name thats not popular, but he still was significant in our world. My report would have to be 6-10 pages long ofcourse double spaced, so I also need a person who has made a big difference, but with enough infromation so that I can fit those into my 6 pages.
Did Steve Jobs say that LSD was one of the two most important things he had done in his life? Changed my life! I would have to agree to that because if you look at the famous people that have tried LSD. Thomas Crick (nobel prize winner), Bill Gates.... Also inventor of the mouse (computer mouse) musicians as well.... the list goes on. It changed my life a lot. Agreed if taken in an unsafe environment it could be dangerous but the good effects definitely out way the bad. Teaches you to appreciate life and in this day and age a drug like LSD is necessary for mental evolution. Quote "Tune in, turn on and drop out". I just want to know if there are people out there that agree with this. Anyone? Is there anyone who has seen the world from that perspective? Also true that it is the least harmful substance in terms of toxicity. Less toxic than VITAMIN C!!!!!! Suprisingly potent though.
