Invention ideas? For my chemistry project we have to "make" an invention. any ideas?

Any Invention ideas for marketing class? I have to think up a new invention for my Marketing class. It has to be a product, business, or idea never thought of before. So if anyone has an ideas for me it would really be helpful.

how and where to sell invention ideas in the uk? My dad has come up with several ideas for inventions, and would like to know if there is anywhere in the uk to sell the ideas to. He tried a company in america, but it would have cost £6000 to patent and make a prototype. Is my current method for invention ideas good or should I find more creative ways? In my spare time I like making and inventing (or at least I try hehe) things. It would be very useful if I could come up with more ideas. Here is how I usually do it: I simply think of the problem and try a sort of mental and visual trial and error. For example, if I need to design a part to make something work, I shape it in my mind until I get the right one(this is an oversimplified example). One advantage is that it always works, but how can I improve this method or is it good enough already?

Any simple small invention ideas? I need an invention idea for a commercial. I have a Speech class in high school and we need todo 2 commercials, so I have 1 already finished which is EraSharp (a sharpener with an eraser, I'm just going to super glue a small sharpener to an eraser block) something very simple and easy to put together. If I am inventing something, would it be my invention if some of the ideas were thought up by other people? I am quite pedantic and feel quite guilty for the smallest things. If someone thought of an idea for a possible invention, but left it there, and I took the idea, improved it, tweaked it, polished it and turned it into an actual working machine and patented it, would it be my invention? Even if it is my invention according to law, what about morally? Do you think it is stealing, or just sharing information and avoiding reinventing the wheel?
